Commission on Equitable Compensation

The Book of Discipline, 2008 charges the Commission on Equitable Compensation to "support full-time clergy serving as pastors in the charges of the annual conference by:
(a) recommending conference standards for pastoral support;
(b) administering funds to be used in base compensation supplementation; and
(c) providing counsel and advisory material on pastoral support to district superintendents and committees on pastor-parish relations."

To fulfill these responsibilities the Florida Conference Commission on Equitable Compensation meets twice a year to review applications from churches for assistance in meeting the base compensation for their pastors. A church wishing to make such an application should be in consultation with their superintendent. Upon the approval of the superintendent the church can then proceed with the application process.

The deadlines for receiving applications are April 1 and November 1 in each calendar year.
